In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
